Our House . . .

We bought a home! We luckily were able to work on the home before we purchased it so I am going to post some befores and afters. Above is a picture of our front yard and home, which will need a lot of work.

If you walk in upstairs you walk into the living room, we wont be painting the walls in this room, but we will be changing the color of the gold fireplace. If you are interested in the couches, you can have them!

Then you can walk straight into the kitchen or left down the halls to the 3 bedrooms and bath.

Now we continue to my beautiful Ivy bathroom! (Luckily it is stencil, not wallpaper.)
The closets in every room are huge and the rooms are much larger than they look in these pictures.

Now for room #2 with pink walls and Clouds on the Ceiling. I am not sure what Dad and Joseph are doing.

Room #3 (Master) With an alternate view to see how the second bath goes through to the kitchen.

The Yellow Bathroom! If you love this color let me know, there are 2 more gallons of it under the sink right now :)

So before you reach the kitchen there are the stairs to the basement. It is now locked off because we have renters living there as of Sunday, and we closed on the home on Thursday.
First Here is the Kitchen in all its beauty!

The red drapes will be Brad's early birthday gift when we come down next week :) You can put them up in your bedroom Cynthia, I know Sophia will LOVE them.

The sliding doors the don't work lead to our huge backyard. You can see in the Drapes picture the shed on the other side of our fence, that is actually our land too. Mom and dad are way excited because they will be planting a garden this summer!

Here is mom hard at work on the wall paper leading to the basement, I have never seen anything like it.

So the basement has 2 large bedrooms and one bathroom. One of the bedrooms was a garage which was converted into a second bedroom.

The Kitchen, I must admit, is nicer than mine upstairs.

And the after of the Kitchen isn't too big of a change, just paint.

So here is a picture of the bedroom that used to be the garage. You can see the door to it in the kitchen picture above. We didn't any work to this room because it had a new paint job, and carpets.

Now The Bathroom has a tub and a shower, and it was pretty bad.

Before and AFTER

Room #2

The carpets were in pretty good condition so we got them cleaned and they looked great.

Now for the Living Room, the Before and then the process of the, "no more lava rock" project.

Joseph loved using the sprayer!

The AFTER

So that is our basement, we have it rented out to a couple with a 2 year old and everything is going great with the upstairs. Our plan is to get it all ready for us to store our things while we are gone this summer and have our 3 friends pay to live there while we are gone. We have about 3 until Joseph leaves and 4 until I join him. I can't wait to show you all the results. And thanks to everyone who has helped so far, especially my wonderfully hard working mom!

  7. Good for you and your mom! J/K Dano has been using that phrase a lot so it just came out! It is pretty impressive to be a home owner so fast! and a landlord too! Hope you have better renters than we did :)
