The Freedom Run
This year, for the 4th of July, I got to run the Freedom run 10k with 2 of my brothers, my dad, and Angela. I even had my cute nephew, Gavin, run the 1 mile. I am excited to talk to him about it on Sunday.
Anyway, even though I didn't meet my goal time, I had a lot of fun. I will post pictures and more a little later, but my sister in law pointed out to me the link that the Freedom Run sent us. Of course there were photographers there taking pictures to sell to the runners, and then send you an email to let you know.
Well, I made it on their cycle of 7 or so pictures on their main page (click below to see). As I was finishing up the race I had a man trying to pass me so I began to speed up. I really didn't want him to pass me so close to the end so I kept strong. Yes, he began to sprint. Therefore, I had to push it really hard to stay in the lead. So the picture they have of me is pretty intense, ha ha. Kinda crazy :)

Moving and Running . . . what else do I do?
Yes, we made our move back to Utah for the Summer. This is just a picture of our AZ apartment getting all boxed up once again. I feel like a lot of the past 2 years has been a lot of packing and unpacking. We decided to leave most of our belongings in AZ because we will be returning soon.
I already miss my Arizona Friends and Family. My calling as the YW Beehive Adviser was very hard to give up. I will be dropping off Cookies to the Bishop when I get back ;)
As you can see I have been a little occupied putting things together here in UT and I still feel I am far from finishing. But I had to post a crazy/cute thing for my mother and father in law. I want to let them know how amazing, and at the same time, strong headed their son is. To train for this marathon I have to run long runs every other week. Last Wednesday was a 14 miler and I wanted Joseph to ride his bike or long board alongside me because I didn't have my parents to run with. I am not sure when, but he decided he wanted to run it with me.
I would be running from the mouth of the canyon till Vivian Park and then back down. This is just shy of 14 miles. Joseph and I started off strong and he explained to me he would try to keep up for the first couple of miles and then turn around to maybe fish while he waited. He kept up for the first mile or so and then I went on ahead. 7 miles in I finally got to vivian park to turn around. After I had turned around and ran for a mile or so I ran into Joseph. Honestly shocked, I gave him a hug and told him to turn around and finish up with me. He shook his head catching his breath and told me he wanted to run the whole 14. He hasn't run more than 2 miles since we were married so I was nervous for him. His knees weren't hurting, which was my biggest concern. So he seemed to be doing well.I know Joseph is always full of surprises, but sometimes I am amazed by the surprise. I can't believe he really did it. I finished up at 107 minutes and ran up to the gas station to buy us some gatorades. After I stretched a little I ran up the trail to meet Joseph with the drinks, he was a lot closer than I thought. He drank a little and said he wanted to keep running till he was done. He was so determined. It was so fun to have him come on the run with me.
Yes he was definitely feeling it over the next few days, but Friday he told me he loved how he felt. I was so happy to hear that! Of course I got extremely excited and began thinking of races we could train for. And i know he will be faster than me in no time, so I could work on speed work to try and keep up with him. He quickly saw my excitement and clarified that he still thinks running marathons is crazy and said he would never run one. "Oh . . ." a little disappointed.
I guess we'll see. . .

T & M
As always, a fun trip to Utah where I was able to go to a friends wedding :) This time it was 2 of my friends getting married. Melissa and Taylor were sealed in the SLC Temple June 4th.
It was great attending their sealing and to see how happy they are and will be together.
Angela, Me, and Sandra
Cutting their cake
I had never been to the American Fork Amphitheater, but this is where they had their reception and everything was so beautiful. I really enjoyed seeing old friends, some I haven't seen since high school.
I had to make the trip alone, so I don't have any pictures of me and Joseph. After cleaning up, most of us Bridesmaids met up at In-n-out.

We were all so hungry and tired, it was a great day. Congratulations Taylor and Melissa Anderson!

Renting our apartmentAnd saying goodbye to Joseph's parents. It was hard, but we can't wait to go and visit them!
P.S. If you haven't heard already, our surprise is we will be making our way back to Utah for the summer! We have enough time before the restaurant deal goes through that we can come and enjoy a summer in Utah. Which has been something we have missed immensely. See you June 20th!
